Nothing says Christmas like cinnamon and clementines…oh and booze! Lately, I have taken to drinking an Old-Fashioned cocktail or two and I decided to combine Christmas spices with Bourbon for an extra special festive drink. This one needs a week or two to infuse the spices into the alcohol so get it going now and it will be ready for a Christmas Day tipple!
1 bottle Jim Beam (or any other Bourbon)
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cardamom pods
zest of a clementine
1. Mix the bourbon with all the spices and zest in a kilner jar.
2. Store for a week or two and give it an odd shake to mix.
3. Serve on ice, ideally in an Old-Fashioned!
